Aibek Junushaliev ordered the dismantling of the structure near the Central Department Store and the restoration of the fountain.
A specialist present at the site emphasized that to restore the fountain, the structure needs to be completely redesigned according to the proposed sketches.
The mayor noted that all projects in the capital must strictly adhere to the approved sketches, as was done in the construction of facilities such as "Zhashtyk Arena" and the "Alga" sports complex. He also mentioned the waste processing plant that was built according to the project.
Junushaliev expressed dissatisfaction with the current situation, as issues with project discrepancies have arisen again. He reported that he sent a letter to the Ministry of Construction and called on members of the urban planning council for discussion. If the project does not meet the stated requirements, it should be canceled, and the fountain should be returned to its original location. "If you cannot do better than in the sketch, return everything to how it was," he added.
The mayor also reminded that government agencies should support businesses, but entrepreneurs must operate within the law, considering the interests of the city and its residents.
In the event that the construction company does not begin dismantling within three days, Junushaliev suggested involving the Capital Construction Department, with all costs for dismantling to be borne by the company responsible for the construction of the structure. "This is non-negotiable," the mayor emphasized.
It should be noted that a new multifunctional facility is currently being built at the site of the fountain complex near the Central Department Store. The project authors assured that the fountains will be preserved but will receive an updated form.
