In Bishkek, the "Government" fountain in Dubovy Park is undergoing reconstruction. According to the press service of the city hall, the historical part of the fountain has been preserved and transferred for storage to the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk".
Currently, the production of reinforcement frames for three bowls and columns has been completed. Work is underway to refine the formwork necessary for future monolithic concreting.
The pouring of the upper bowl has already been completed, and the other bowls will be poured on-site. All reinforcement frames and formwork are fully prepared.
In the near future, the concrete preparation of the bottom is expected to be completed, after which the installation of the frame and tying of the reinforcement will begin. Within a month, the backfilling of the pit and the installation of the upper part of the fountain will also take place.
It is also worth noting that recently one of the oldest fountains in the city, built in 1956 along with the rest of the park ensemble, was dismantled in Dubovy Park. Representatives of the authorities explained the demolition as necessary due to the wear of the engineering structures. Nevertheless, questions about preserving the historical appearance of the park continue to spark debates among local residents and specialists in the field of architectural heritage preservation.
