Historians and local historians emphasize that the fountain was designed by artist Olga Manuilova, and the fountain itself was executed in the style of Stalinist pseudo-empire with Eastern ornaments. For many years, it served as one of the key architectural features of Dubovy Park.

Historical sources assert that the fountain appeared simultaneously with the formation of the park as a public space in the post-war period and became one of the symbols of the capital for many years.

According to representatives of the authorities, the reason for the demolition lies in outdated engineering structures. A new model with modern water circulation and lighting systems is planned to be installed in place of the old fountain. Nevertheless, the preservation of the historical appearance of the park is a topic of debate among citizens and specialists in architectural heritage conservation.
