The Vice Mayor of the capital, Azamat Kadyrov, announced at a meeting of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council that the construction of multi-level parking lots is planned on the sites of demolished garages. This statement was part of the discussion on issues related to the dismantling of garages in the "Alamedin-1" microdistrict and the creation of new parking spaces for local residents.
Kadyrov clarified that the clearing of the territory is taking place only in the water protection zone. According to him, in those areas where the demolition of garages is planned, the city hall intends to build multi-level parking lots.
It is worth noting that several garage cooperatives have already been demolished in Bishkek, but in most cases, multi-story residential buildings are being constructed in their place.
