The idea to reconstruct the old park was proposed in 2024, and construction work began this year. The head of the Mikhailovsky rural council of the Tyup region, Urmat Bozgunov, spoke about the features of the new park.
“Issyk-Kul is a village that stands out for its attractiveness for summer tourism. Tourists often travel along this road, and they immediately notice the level of infrastructure. In this regard, it was decided to completely renovate the Victory Park, which was built during the Soviet period. A total of 16 million soms was allocated for design and landscaping,” noted Urmat Bozgunov.
According to the project, the upper part of the park is designed in the shape of a yurt (boz uy). A flowerbed has been created in the center of the park, and lighting and lamps have been installed. Paths for visitors are paved with cobblestones, and ditches have been dug for water drainage. The perimeter of the park is fenced with special stones, and night lamps have also been installed. Inside the park, there are a children's playground, a sports corner for adults, and a stage for outdoor events. In the future, a video surveillance system is planned to be installed,” he added.
