Of the total number of surgeries, 42 were conducted as part of related transplants according to the approved price list, while 37 were performed on a free basis.
According to data from the National Hospital, 67 out of 79 patients (84.8%) have satisfactory graft function.
However, six patients (7.6%) returned to programmed hemodialysis:
- three (3.8%, according to global data this is up to 10%) experienced acute graft rejection,
- three developed chronic post-transplant nephropathy within a year after transplantation.
Unfortunately, six patients (7%) passed away:
- five in the late post-transplant period from various diseases (COVID-19, intestinal tuberculosis, cardiovascular complications);
- one - in the early post-transplant period due to acute myocardial infarction.
It should be noted that on February 12, 2026, the 80th kidney transplant surgery was performed at NCOMCH within the budget. Currently, there are 206 patients with stage five chronic kidney disease waiting for a kidney transplant.
