President Sadyr Japarov signed the decree on the appointment, citing Article 71 of the country's Constitution.
Aibek Iminov has experience in regulating religious organizations and conducting state expertise on religious activities. Previously, he held the position of head of the Department of Expertise and Interaction with Religious Organizations at the State Commission for Religious Affairs, which was later transformed into the National Agency.
It is also worth noting that recently Talantbek Tashibekov was appointed as the head of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations under the President.
