When is Qadr Night celebrated?

Islamic tradition states that Qadr Night falls on one of the last ten nights of Ramadan, but the exact date is not specified. Sacred texts mention the numbers 21, 23, 25, 27, and 29. According to several scholars, the night from the 26th to the 27th day of fasting is the most likely for this event. The Muftiyat of Kyrgyzstan adheres to this opinion and officially celebrates Qadr Night from the 26th to the 27th night.

What does this night represent?

In Kyrgyz, Qadr Night translates to the Night of Decree, while in Arabic it is known as Laylat al-Qadr or Al-Qadr. It is believed that on this night the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad by the angel Gabriel. Special attention is given to prayers on this night.

How to recognize Qadr Night?

In the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad, it is described that this night is characterized by a special calmness and tranquility that are not experienced at other times. There is an opinion that on Qadr Night, trees bow down to the ground, but this can only be seen by people with a high spiritual level.

Before the start of Qadr Night, it is recommended to perform a full ablution (ghusl) and cleanse your thoughts and soul of negative emotions.
