
The bill aims to improve the health of the population and the environmental situation in the country.
Today, during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies reviewed the bill concerning the ratification of the Agreement on financing and the Grant Agreement for the 'One Health' project, concluded between Kyrgyzstan and the International Development Association/International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The bill was adopted in the third reading.
The main goal of this bill is to improve the health of people and animals, as well as to assist in environmental protection.
The project includes key areas such as combating zoonotic infections, preventing antimicrobial resistance, and ensuring food safety.
According to the agreements, $30 million will be allocated in the form of a loan and $1.79 million in the form of a grant for the implementation of 'Phase 1' of the 'One Health' Program in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The loan funds will be provided for a period of 50 years, with a grace period of 10 years and at a zero interest rate.
