To Prevent Pandemics, Kyrgyzstan Will Be Allocated a $30 Million Loan

At a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with finance, budget, entrepreneurship, and competition development, deputies approved in the first reading an agreement on financing under the "One Health" program. Its goal is to prevent pandemics, improve food security, and enhance ecosystem health in Central Asia.

This document was signed between Kyrgyzstan, the International Development Association, and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reported that Kyrgyzstan will receive a loan of $30 million, as well as a grant of $1.79 million under this project.

The loan will be issued for a term of 50 years with a 10-year grace period and no interest charges. It must be repaid by December 15, 2074.

He also emphasized that the first phase of the project includes three main areas of work.
