In Kyrgyzstan, the construction of rehabilitation centers for wild animals is planned. On January 12, the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with agricultural policy and environmental protection, supported the draft law concerning the financing of this project in its first reading.

Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Zhanibek Kerimaliev noted that the project's goal is to improve the health of the population and animals, as well as to enhance the ecology of the country.

The first phase includes three key areas:

According to Kerimaliev, within the funding allocated to the Ministry of Water Resources and Agriculture, two new veterinary laboratories will be built, six laboratories will be modernized, and the purchase of two mobile laboratories is also planned. Forty veterinary control points will be established at the borders of the country, and veterinary-sanitary laboratories at 78 livestock markets will be reconstructed. Equipment will be purchased for district veterinary departments and training bases for future veterinarians, as well as a vaccine against brucellosis, 32 pickups, and 22 mini-tractors. As a result, the country will have seven regional centers for the rehabilitation of wild animals.

Additional funds will also be allocated to two other ministries that will be involved in implementing their tasks within the project.
