Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Zhanibek Kerimaliev noted that the project's goal is to improve the health of the population and animals, as well as to enhance the ecology of the country.
The first phase includes three key areas:
- Combatting zoonoses: strengthening control over animal diseases, developing effective diagnostic and treatment methods, raising awareness of the risks of transmitting infections from animals to humans.
- Preventing antibiotic resistance: rational use of antibiotics in medicine and veterinary practice, seeking alternative treatment methods, preventing the spread of resistant bacteria.
- Ensuring food safety: improving sanitary conditions at all stages of production and processing, enhancing quality control of products.
Additional funds will also be allocated to two other ministries that will be involved in implementing their tasks within the project.
