The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry has managed to stabilize the staffing situation. This was stated in an interview with the radio by the First Deputy Minister Zhanibek Kerimaliyev.
He noted that there used to be a serious shortage of specialists in the ministry's system, including the central apparatus. However, at present, thanks to increased salaries and the activation of practical work, the problem of staff turnover has been almost resolved.
“Work has really started to move forward, so specialists are staying. The situation in the central apparatus is stable, although in some departments there may still be isolated cases of staff shortages,” added Kerimaliyev.
He also pointed out the high demand for professionals in the field of breeding livestock and seed production.
Agronomists and animal husbandry specialists, according to him, play a critical role in the development of agriculture, as they are responsible for assessing soil conditions, livestock quality, and providing consultation on artificial insemination and other technological processes.
As part of the agricultural sector development program, five priority areas have been identified, one of which is science, education, and consulting activities. All training modules have already been prepared, and on-site agricultural training is scheduled to begin on January 10, provided the timeline is adhered to.
During the winter period, events for agricultural training and seminars for farmers will be held across the country, where they will be able to receive consultations and answers to important questions in the agricultural sector.
In addition, the ministry oversees four research institutes that are constantly engaged in educational and consulting activities.
Kerimaliyev also reported on the signing of memorandums with several educational institutions, including the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after Skryabin, the Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas," and Osh State University.
All new specialists working in the regions undergo additional training and consultations aimed at improving their qualifications and more effective organization of work on the ground.
