This project represents the third phase of the program "Expansion of the Sewage Treatment Plant in the city of Osh," within which the first complex of wastewater treatment facilities will be updated, allowing its capacity to be doubled — from 20 to 40 thousand cubic meters per day.
The first phase of the project included the reconstruction of the water supply system, covering new areas of the city, while the second phase concluded with the rehabilitation and construction of the second complex of wastewater treatment facilities.
The total funding for the project amounts to 8.3 million euros, of which:
- 4 million euros — a loan from the European Investment Bank;
- 3 million euros — a grant from the European Union (EU);
- 1.3 million euros — a grant from the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
