According to information from the Ministry of Natural Resources' press service, experts assessed the current condition of the facilities, the level of equipment wear, as well as checked compliance with environmental standards and the possibilities for upgrading and increasing productivity.
Municipal enterprises provided information on wastewater treatment technologies, as well as on necessary repairs and the difficulties they face in their operations.
The Department of Environmental Monitoring conducted sampling of wastewater before and after the treatment process to evaluate the effectiveness of the facilities' operations.
As a result of the inspection, it became evident that many treatment facilities require equipment replacement, modernization of treatment systems, and improved monitoring of wastewater quality.
