The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has confirmed that the country has joined the Council for Peace without any mandatory financial contributions. This was reported by Erlan Zhetybaev, the official representative of the ministry, in an interview with local media.

He emphasized that participation in the Council for Peace fully aligns with Kazakhstan's interests and supports the course towards developing dialogue, strengthening international security, and fostering multilateral cooperation within the framework of foreign policy.

Erlan Zhetybaev noted that the President of Kazakhstan characterized this decision as a timely initiative aimed at achieving practical results. "Peace should be built not on declarations, but on concrete actions," he added.

In response to questions regarding financial participation, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that Kazakhstan did not make any contributions upon joining. "When joining the Council for Peace, Kazakhstan did not make any financial contributions. The mentioned possibility of a voluntary contribution of $1 billion in the charter is not a mandatory condition for membership," emphasized Erlan Zhetybaev.

Commenting on rumors about the possibility of sending military forces to Gaza, he urged reliance on official sources of information. According to the official representative, it concerns humanitarian aid.

"The head of state stated that Kazakhstan is ready to support international stabilization forces, send medical units with a field hospital, and observers for civil-military coordination," he added.

Additionally, Kazakhstan is prepared to provide humanitarian aid, including food, as well as allocate 500 educational grants for Palestinian students to study at Kazakh universities for a period of five years and share experience in the field of e-government.
It is worth noting that in February, at the first meeting of the Council for Peace, Donald Trump expressed gratitude to the participants for their contributions to efforts aimed at ensuring stability and recovery in Gaza. He also highlighted Kazakhstan as a prosperous and wealthy state.

In January, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the charter of the Council for Peace, which was initiated by Donald Trump.

Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan received an official invitation from Trump to become one of the founders of the Council for Peace in Gaza.

The Council for Peace, according to Washington's vision, will engage in strategic oversight, mobilization of international resources, and monitoring the fulfillment of commitments for the peaceful development of Gaza.
