Kyrgyzstan ratifies the readmission agreement with Belarus
In the second reading, the bill on the ratification of the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, signed on September 29, 2025, in Minsk, was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh.
This agreement will simplify the process of returning citizens who are illegally in another country, as well as organize the transit of those who are subject to deportation, in accordance with international standards.
Moreover, this document creates conditions for closer cooperation between the competent authorities of the two countries on issues of illegal migration.
The ratification of this agreement aligns with the "roadmap" for Kyrgyzstan's integration into the Single Economic Space of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. It also expands the geography of international readmission agreements that have already been signed with Russia, Kazakhstan, and Switzerland.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there are currently 654 citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the territory of Belarus.
