On July 11, an ecological festival titled "Snow Leopard EcoFest - Kemin - 2026" is scheduled to take place in Chon-Kemin. This event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the ministry's press service, the goal of the festival is to draw attention to the issues of snow leopard conservation, which is an important symbol of the high-altitude ecosystem of Kyrgyzstan.
The festival also aims to support environmental initiatives, promote sustainable tourism, and foster an ecological culture among the local population.
It is expected that representatives from government institutions, environmental organizations, the business community, and local residents interested in environmental conservation and the development of ecological tourism in the region will participate in the festival.
