A large ecological festival called 'Snow Leopard EcoFest - Kemin 2026' is planned in the Kemin district. Almaz Musaev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, shared this information.
He noted that this initiative is aimed at protecting Kyrgyzstan's natural heritage and promoting the principles of sustainable development.
The main task of the festival is to unite the efforts of government structures, businesses, and public organizations to protect the snow leopard, which symbolizes the highlands of the republic.
The event's program will focus on fostering ecological culture among the population and supporting local initiatives in the field of "green" tourism.
The organizers chose the Chon-Kemin Valley for a reason: this region will help draw attention to the vulnerability of mountain ecosystems and the need for their protection.
