President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov announced that soon, specifically in 2.5 years, the republic will completely abandon winter electricity imports. This statement was made during his working trip to the Jalal-Abad region, where he participated in the opening of the "Kara-Kul" hydroelectric power station. According to Japarov, large-scale energy projects are actively being implemented in the country, which will help achieve independence in electricity supply.
