During the youth world championship held in Serbia, Nurzat Nurtayeva won a gold medal, which became the first award for Kyrgyzstan at this tournament.
“We use the methodology of the Soviet school of wrestling, which was extremely popular. To this day, we take pride in this legacy and continue to work within this system. In Kyrgyzstan, it brings excellent results. We owe our successes to the great Soviet coaches in freestyle wrestling who passed on their knowledge to us,” Izabekov noted in an interview with journalist Vyacheslav Abdusalamov.
