Jordi Mestre emphasized that the tension between the player and the club's management began in the summer of 2021 when Messi was forced to leave "Barcelona" and sign a contract with "PSG." The necessity of his departure was explained by the fact that the club was unable to offer him a new contract, which caused dissatisfaction both for the player and his family.
According to Mestre, Laporta's attempts to improve relations with Messi, including organizing a "barbecue," did not yield the desired results.
