The Catalonia police have re-examined the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Isaac Andic, the founder of the well-known brand Mango, and have begun to consider his son, Jonathan, as a suspect. This information appeared in an article by The Guardian.
In December 2024, it became known that 71-year-old Isaac Andic fell from a 100-meter cliff while hiking in the Montserrat mountains near Barcelona. Initially, the police considered it an accident; however, investigative actions now indicate the possibility of murder.
The justification for revising the accident theory was the discrepancies found in Jonathan Andic's statements. He repeatedly changed his account of his location during his father's fall, which raised suspicions among investigators. Moreover, Isaac Andic fell from such a height, and the only witness to the incident was his son. Additionally, the deceased's girlfriend, golfer Estefania Knut, noted that the relationship between father and son was far from ideal.
As a result, the Catalonia police began to consider the murder theory. The Andic family issued a statement confirming their cooperation with the investigation and expressing confidence in Jonathan's innocence:
“We respect the course of the investigation and are confident that Jonathan will be acquitted.”
The police and judicial authorities of Catalonia refrain from commenting, citing the need to maintain the confidentiality of the investigation.
