The final of the 2025 Formula 1 season was disappointing for Lewis Hamilton, and his farewell message to the Ferrari team at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix did not resonate.
This year was Hamilton's first with Ferrari, during which he failed to reach the podium: his best result was fourth place in the race and a sprint victory in China. In the concluding stages of the season in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, he could not make it past Q1, and in the last race, he started from 16th position, finishing the race in eighth place. In contrast, his teammate Charles Leclerc showed more consistent results, finishing in the top four.
After the race, Hamilton expressed gratitude to the team and engineer Riccardo Adami over the radio; however, the response came with almost a minute's delay, and Adami reacted somewhat awkwardly.
The driver also noted that one of the issues of the season was insufficient communication with the team and announced intentions to make changes to the Ferrari lineup for 2026 in order to improve teamwork.
