32-year-old Lingard signed a contract with FC "Seoul" in February 2024, joining as a free agent, and has since played 66 matches, scoring 18 times. His last match will be against "Melbourne City" in the AFC Champions League on Wednesday.
On his Instagram page, the footballer expressed gratitude to the club and fans, describing his time in South Korea as "incredible." He noted that the atmosphere, as well as the support and passion of the fans, were very important to him throughout his time there.
The club also confirmed that Lingard intends to continue his career at a new stage. Although he has no trophies with the team, he managed to help "Seoul" secure fourth place in his first season, which was the club's best result since 2019. In 2025, the team finished the championship in sixth place.
Despite a difficult start due to injury, Lingard became an important figure in the team and even served as captain. Information about his next club has not yet been disclosed.
