Prior to this appointment, Shatskikh held the position of coach at the Uzbek club "Andijan".
The club "Asia" was founded in 2025 and gained the opportunity to play in the Kyrgyzstan Premier League.
Maxim Shatskikh is a forward from Uzbekistan who represented his country on the international stage from 1999 to 2011, including as captain. He is best known for his performances with Kyiv's "Dynamo" (1999–2009), where he was twice the top scorer of the Ukrainian league, scoring 20 goals in the 1999/2000 season and 22 goals in the 2002/2003 season.
On July 28, 1999, he became the first Asian footballer to score in the UEFA Champions League. In 2016, Shatskikh ended his playing career and became a honored athlete of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since 2022, he has been working as a professional football coach.
