Comparing it to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, FSE notes that ticket prices for matches in the USA have increased fivefold. For example, a ticket for the final in 2022 cost $604, while in the USA it will cost $4,185. It is especially criticized that the cheap category 4 tickets in the fan sector will not be available to most members of national supporters' associations. For the first time, FIFA has decided to put them on open sale with dynamic pricing, according to the association's data.
FSE emphasizes in its statement: "This is a colossal betrayal of the traditions of the World Cup and an ignoring of the contribution of fans to this spectacle."
Ticket sales for members of national football associations will begin in January. The World Cup will take place from June 14 to July 19, 2026.
