Kazakhstani Athlete Enters Top 20 of World Cup Freestyle Skiing Stage

At the World Cup stage of ski acrobatics taking place in Lake Placid, USA, the Kazakhstan team was unable to reach the podium on the first day of the competition.

The best result among Kazakh athletes was shown by Sherzod Khashirbaev, who is the champion of the 2025 Asian Games in synchronized jumps. He took 17th place with a score of 87.07 points, which allowed him to enter the top 20 participants.

Other athletes from Kazakhstan finished lower in the final standings: Roman Ivanov was in 25th position, Asylkhan Asan took 27th place, Ulanbakir Umurzakov finished 30th, and Dinmukhammed Rayymkulov closed the list in 33rd place.

In the men's tournament, the victory was claimed by Chinese athlete Wang Xindi, the silver medal was won by Ukrainian Yan Havyryk, and the bronze went to Chinese athlete Qi Guangpu.

In the women's competition, first place was taken by Australian Daniil Scott, second place went to Chinese Xu Mengtai, and third place was secured by American Kayla Kuhn. Kazakh athlete Ayana Zholdas was registered but did not compete.

On Monday, individual competitions for men and women will take place in Lake Placid at the World Cup stage of ski acrobatics.
