Adriano, known as "The Emperor," published an emotional message on social media after his mother fell victim to a scammer. The fraudster, posing as a football player, convinced the woman to transfer over 15,000 Brazilian reais to someone else's bank account.
In this video, the former striker demanded that the criminal return the money as soon as possible. "You're a scoundrel; you better return everything, or I will find you, and you will see how the devil comes to earth," he stated, giving the scammer 24 hours to refund the money.
Adriano noted that the criminal took advantage of the fact that he never changed his phone number and added that any attempts to harm his family would not go unpunished. "My mom transferred money to a person who pretended to be me. You don't treat mothers and family like that," he emphasized.
Adriano's football career was bright: he played for clubs such as "Inter," "Fiorentina," "Roma," and "Parma," as well as Brazilian teams "Flamengo," "São Paulo," and "Corinthians." He scored 27 goals for the Brazilian national team.
After retiring, the athlete returned to his hometown of Vila Cruzeiro in Rio de Janeiro, which he considers his true home, a place where he is respected and where he feels connected to his roots.
