At the opening ceremony, the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Ulan Kydyrbaev, representatives of the Wrestling Federation, as well as coaches, athletes, and spectators were present. It was emphasized that this tournament is of significant importance for preparing the reserve of the national team and developing youth sports in the country.
The winners and prize-winners who take 1st to 3rd places will be awarded medals and diplomas, and will also have the opportunity to join the Kyrgyzstan national team to participate in international competitions in 2026, including the Asian Championships, World Championships, and qualifying tournaments.
The goal of the competitions is also to promote women's wrestling, improve the skills of female athletes, and advocate for a healthy lifestyle.
On the first day of the tournament, matches among girls are taking place in the weight categories: 40, 43, 46, 49, 53, 57, 61, 65, 69, and 73 kg. The final bouts are scheduled for 17:00.
