Today, the national youth boxing championship has opened in Kyrgyzstan for those born in 2008-2009. The relevant information was provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the opening ceremony, the director of the specialized children and youth Olympic reserve school "Yntymak," Rustam Niyazaliev, and the executive director of the National Boxing Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Orozbek Evgachev, were spotted. Athletes, coaches, and boxing fans also attended the event.
The tournament features representatives from the cities of Bishkek and Osh, as well as athletes from the Chui, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Naryn, Issyk-Kul, Talas, and Batken regions, and the Republican Sports College named after Sh. Sydykov in Bishkek.
The championship is being held in accordance with international standards. The youth competitions cover 10 weight categories: 50 kg, 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg, 85 kg, up to 90 kg, and over 90 kg. For girls, there are 9 weight categories: 48 kg, 51 kg, 54 kg, 57 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, and up to 80 kg.
The competitions will last until December 21, and the winners will receive medals and diplomas based on the results of the championship.
