The President of the International Boxing Association (IBA), Umar Kremliev, announced the postponement of the start of the World Boxing Championship in the UAE by one day. The event was originally scheduled to begin today in Dubai, but its opening is now planned for December 4.

The reason for the date change was difficulties in obtaining visas for boxers from Kyrgyzstan. "We postponed the start by a day due to visa issues. The tournament will begin on December 4. All athletes have already received their visas and are on their way here. We just need to wait for two more countries," Kremliev noted during the opening ceremony of the tournament on December 2.

It is worth mentioning that initially only two athletes from Kyrgyzstan received their visas, then three more joined them, and the rest of the team was able to leave after the intervention of the president's administration.
