Nursultan Keneshbekov Sets a Record for Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Championship in China

At the Asian Athletics Championships, which took place from February 6 to 8 in China, Nursultan Keneshbekov once again demonstrated outstanding results, setting a new record for Kyrgyzstan.

In the preliminary heats for the 1500 meters held on February 6, Nursultan ran in the first group and won with a time of 3 minutes 50 seconds, which allowed him to advance to the final.

The final race, held on February 8, brought the Kyrgyz athlete a silver medal. He completed the distance in 3 minutes 44.75 seconds, which became a new indoor record for Kyrgyzstan.

The previous record (3 minutes 45.85 seconds) also belonged to Keneshbekov and was set by him at a tournament in Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan) in 2024.
