According to the draft law, deaflympic sports will be recognized as a separate direction, alongside the Olympic and Paralympic movements.
This law will create a legal framework for funding sports participating in deaflympic competitions, as well as for awarding one-time bonuses for achievements at the Deaflympic Games and other international tournaments.
Additionally, it is proposed to restore the accreditation of republican sports federations. The authorized state body in the field of physical culture and sports will be responsible for its implementation, establishing the procedures and conditions for accreditation. This innovation aims to improve control over federations that receive budget funds and form national teams.
The draft law also includes measures to ensure the safety of spectators at sporting events, which will be determined by the cabinet of ministers. This is related to preparations for hosting major international events, including the VI World Nomad Games in 2026.
The legislative initiative also states that the time spent by an athlete in the national team of Kyrgyzstan will be counted towards their work experience in the field of physical culture and sports.
This will allow retired athletes to officially find employment as coaches and receive seniority bonuses without losing the time spent in the national team.
According to the explanatory note to the draft, no additional expenses from the republican budget will be required, and the changes will not lead to negative social or legal consequences. The project has undergone public discussion on a unified portal without any comments or suggestions.
