Quincy Promes, known for his performances with Moscow's "Spartak," will once again find himself at the center of legal disputes. According to RTL Boulevard, the appellate court in the Netherlands has scheduled hearings for the end of 2026. The specific dates for the court sessions are November 30, as well as December 2 and 4.
The 34-year-old footballer is accused of drug trafficking and stabbing his cousin. These charges have already led to a conviction. Recall that in February 2024, Promes was arrested in Dubai, where he was with the team for a training camp. He was later extradited to the Netherlands at the request of local authorities.
Previously, the court sentenced Promes to 7.5 years in prison on two cases; however, his defense filed an appeal, which opens the possibility for a review of the cases.
Despite his legal troubles, Promes remains one of the key figures in the history of "Spartak." During his career at the club, he played 235 matches, scored 114 goals, and provided 59 assists, becoming the team's top scorer in Russian championships.
