The Ministry of Education has announced that in December 2025, first graders will enjoy additional winter holidays.
For six-year-old children attending the first grade of a 12-year school, the break will be extended by two weeks, starting from December 24, 2025, and ending on January 18, 2026.
Other students will follow the standard winter vacation schedule, which will last from December 31 to January 11, with classes resuming on January 12, 2026.
Additionally, other vacation dates for the 2025–2026 academic year have been established:
- autumn break — from November 5 to November 9;
- spring break — from March 6 to March 8;
- May holidays — from May 1 to May 10.
