The President called on voters to be active
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, stated that the belief that the votes of ordinary voters do not matter is outdated. He made this statement after participating in the early parliamentary elections alongside the First Lady of the country, Aigul Japarova.
According to the president, these elections are different from previous ones due to the automation of the process, which eliminates human interference.
“Previously, there were cases of ballot stuffing, but this is no longer happening: ballots are printed on-site, and the counting of votes is done automatically using computers. Our country has experienced three coups related to elections. Therefore, we decided to automate the process to avoid the human factor,” emphasized Sadyr Japarov.
He also urged the citizens of Kyrgyzstan to actively participate in voting.
“I spent only five minutes voting. I urge everyone to come and cast their vote. There is still time. Every vote matters. Don’t think that only the rich will make it to parliament. Go to the elections with the conviction: ‘My vote will determine the future of our country,’” added the president.
