The international human rights organization Human Rights Watch has been declared undesirable in Russia. This was reported by BBC News.

Information about this decision appeared in the registry of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, which was noted by the Interfax agency.

Decisions to declare organizations undesirable are made by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia.

It is worth noting that in April 2022, amid the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Roskomnadzor restricted access to the Human Rights Watch website.

This human rights group was founded in 1978 and currently monitors human rights violations in more than 70 countries around the world.
