Recently, an unpleasant situation related to the "Immortal Regiment" has been actively discussed on social networks in Kyrgyzstan and Russia. At official events in Russia, people who have no connection to the organization of this memorial action in Kyrgyzstan are participating. At the same time, Zulfiya Khaibullina, the actual coordinator of the "Immortal Regiment" in the republic, remains unnoticed, reports the Telegram channel of the Expert Initiative Center "Oiy Ordo".
According to the Expert Initiative Center "Oiy Ordo," citing "Stanradar," a person from Kyrgyzstan who has no connection to the preparation and coordination of the action was invited to the forum "Immortal Regiment. 10 Years Together." He was introduced as an organizer and awarded for patriotic activities. A similar situation was observed at the December events in Moscow and St. Petersburg, where Galina Ketova, an employee of the KRSU and a member of the Coordination Council of Compatriots, acted as the "coordinator of the Immortal Regiment in Kyrgyzstan." Her name is not associated with this action in Kyrgyzstan.
Zulfiya Khaibullina has been effectively organizing and coordinating the marches for many years, which gather more than 50,000 participants just in Bishkek. She has overcome administrative obstacles and achieved approvals, while the public knows almost nothing about the contributions of other declared "coordinators."
This situation raises a number of questions for journalists and society regarding how Kyrgyzstan's representation at international "Immortal Regiment" events is formed and why the real organizers remain out of sight.
The Expert Initiative Center "Oiy Ordo" has already appealed to the President of Kyrgyzstan and the government with a request to officially recognize Zulfiya Khaibullina's contribution to preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War.
