A group suspected of illegally legalizing over 53,000 migrants has been detained in the capital of Russia. The information was provided by the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia.

It has been reported that the FSB's Moscow and Moscow Region Department has suspended the activities of this criminal group, which was engaged in the illegal legalization of migrants.

The statement noted that "members of this group created an extensive channel for the illegal stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, using fake employment contracts." All those detained are citizens of Russia. A criminal case has been initiated against them under the article concerning the organization of illegal migration.

Migrants who received fake documents will be expelled from the country with a ban on re-entry into Russia.
