Lawyers in St. Petersburg Will Provide Assistance to Migrants from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan

In St. Petersburg, the representative office of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan, together with the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan, signed memorandums of cooperation with the Bar Association of the city and the International Bar Association "St. Petersburg." This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

According to the information, these agreements, valid for one year, are aimed at developing partnerships in the field of providing qualified legal assistance, legal education, and protecting the rights of migrants from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan working in Russia, primarily in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

The initiative from the Russian side includes the creation of a Register of lawyers who are members of the St. Petersburg Bar community. These lawyers have significant experience in migration, labor, administrative, civil, and criminal law and are ready to assist citizens of both countries.

As part of the signed memorandums, the parties plan the following actions:
Vyacheslav Tenishev, president of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, noted that such trilateral memorandums have been signed in Russia for the first time, symbolizing the strengthening of ties between the states.

Alexey Belkin, president of the International Bar Association "St. Petersburg," expressed confidence that the lawyers of St. Petersburg have the necessary experience and resources to provide qualified assistance to citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
