A monument to Khan Sadyr Arzymat uulu, the ruler of the 18th century, has been erected in Toktogul.

In Toktogul, a monument to Khan Sadyr Arzymat uulu, a well-known ruler of the 18th century, has been unveiled. This was reported by the akim of the Toktogul district, Akylbek Tyukebaev.

The monument is located at the entrance to the city, on the Bishkek–Osh highway in the Bala-Chychkan area, thanks to the support of sponsors.

The opening ceremony took place on December 6 and gathered many participants, including the State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic Arslan Koichiev, the hero of the Kyrgyz Republic Aliyasbek Alymkulov, as well as the deputy representative of the president of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Jalal-Abad region Urmat Samaev and local residents.

“During the solemn event, information about the feats of Khan Sadyr Arzymat uulu was shared. The Manas epic was performed, and akyns sang of his valor and contributions to the Kyrgyz people,” noted the district akim.

Khan Sadyr Arzymat uulu was born approximately in 1714–1715, and his youth coincided with the difficult times of the Kalmyk invasion in Ketmen-Töbö, which shaped him as a fighter for the freedom of his people.

According to the records of historian Belek Soltonoev, by the end of the 18th century, he became one of the most respected rulers among the Arka-Kyrgyz, demonstrating leadership in difficult times and calling the people to unity and freedom.
