Poet-Writer Isak Shaibekov

In 1917, he returned to his homeland. During the years of the revolution and the civil war, he participated in the struggle against the Basmachi, was a member of the Naryn Revolutionary Committee in 1920, and in 1922—chairman of the Chech-Tyube Volost Revolutionary Committee, from 1923 to 1924—chairman of the Bystrovsky Volost Committee. In the following years, he worked in the consumer cooperative system. During the Great Patriotic War, he served as the head of a farm in his native collective farm.
From the age of 10, he composed songs about his hard orphaned fate, about the desire for freedom, and, having learned to read and write, recorded them on paper. In his youth, he composed kochoks. Among the pre-revolutionary works of the akyn that have reached us are the poems "Zilzala," written under the impression of a strong earthquake that occurred in 1910, "The People in Distress," dedicated to the events of 1916, and "Lament for Shabdan" (1912). After the Great October Revolution, I. Shaibekov created works about life in freedom, about Lenin ("Lenin's Banner"), about the party ("Bolshevik Party"), "Kemin Gorge," and others. The first poetry collection of the akyn "Ysaktyn Yrlary" was published in 1936. One of the main themes in the works of I. Shaibekov was the theme of creative labor and peace, which is reflected in his poems "Hands Off Korea," "The Enemy Burns in the Fire," "The Power of the People," and others.
In 1980, selected works of the akyn were published under the title "Taidalgan Chygarmalar."
A member of the CPSU since 1918, a member of the Union of Soviet Writers since 1938.
