The Cabinet expanded preferential lending for seed-growing and nursery enterprises

- The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the program of preferential lending for seed-growing and nursery enterprises as part of the initiative "Development of Seed Production and Nursery Industry".

In accordance with decree No. 874-t, which was signed on October 9, 2025, the Cabinet has made changes to the project aimed at supporting local seed and planting material producers in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The new document clarifies the lending conditions and expands the list of purposes for which preferential loans can be used. The loan term is now set at 36 months. A new item has been added to the project that clearly defines the lending purposes for seed-growing and nursery organizations.

The implementation of the project is carried out with the participation of OJSC "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank", as well as the Guarantee Fund.

The total volume of lending amounts to 100 million soms, of which at least 40% will be allocated to nursery enterprises.

Subsidization of the interest rate at the level of 9% per annum will be carried out at the expense of the republican budget.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, is responsible for the implementation of the project and monitoring the targeted use of the allocated funds.

These changes are aimed at improving the variety change and renewal of agricultural crops, developing domestic seed production, and ensuring the country's food security.
