Rosselkhoznadzor monitored the import of products from a number of countries, including Kyrgyzstan

- From December 15 to 21, 2025, a control operation took place at the multilateral automobile checkpoint "Petukhovo" (Kurgan Region), involving employees of the Ural Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor, border guards, and customs officers. During the inspection, 73 vehicles were examined, as reported by Rosselkhoznadzor.

More than 1115 tons of vegetables, fruits, and grains were imported into Russian territory from Kazakhstan, China, India, and Kyrgyzstan.

Due to the upcoming holidays, the volume of imported plant products through the Kurgan checkpoint nearly doubled compared to previous weeks.

The cargo was transiting through the Zauralye region to cities such as Surgut, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Barnaul, and even Moscow.

The most diverse assortment of fruits was sent to Surgut: three trucks delivered over 75 tons of Chinese fruits, including cherries, grapes, pomegranates, pineapples, watermelons, tangerines, oranges, pomelo, blueberries, passion fruit, and kiwis.

Forty tons of Indian rice were sent to Novosibirsk and Barnaul.

The Kurgan Region received the following cargo:

- 20 tons of cabbage,

- 18 tons of apples,

- 20 tons of onions.

No violations of quarantine legislation and EAEU requirements were identified during the phytosanitary control. All vehicles continued their journey to their final destinations without delays.
