- On December 7, 2025, at the "Isilkul" checkpoint on the border between Russia and Kazakhstan, officials from the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Omsk region prevented the import of a batch of broiler chicken fillet weighing 21 tons, produced in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the agency.

It is known that the cargo was being transported in transit from Bishkek to the Belgorod region of Russia. However, during the inspection of the veterinary certificate, it was found that the document lacked data on laboratory tests confirming the safety of the poultry meat in terms of veterinary and sanitary standards.

The Rosselkhoznadzor noted that further movement of this batch of meat is prohibited. All products were returned to the sender, and the carrier was also subjected to administrative liability.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor has already recorded 94 cases of attempts to illegally import controlled products at the Omsk section of the border. In total, more than 395 tons of meat, milk, and other animal products, as well as about 3,600 heads of livestock and poultry, have been returned. Additionally, a batch of sanctioned poultry meat from the USA was identified and destroyed.
