According to Daniyar Ömürzakov, the head of the laboratory, this will significantly simplify the inspection of products that enter the city's market.
“We have acquired a device called 'Laktan,' which allows us to determine the fat content, density, and protein content in milk, as well as check whether it has been diluted with water. We also have an antibiotic pH meter for testing meat for the presence of antibiotics. Previously, we could not conduct such tests, but now we will be able to do it ourselves,” noted D. Ömürzakov.
The device will make it possible to identify whether antibiotics were used in the raising of animals. Recently, local residents have become more responsible in caring for livestock, which has led to a significant reduction in the use of antibiotics — the livestock is kept clean and fed properly.
The laboratory also monitors the freshness and cleanliness of meat and identifies diseases that can be transmitted through meat. In case of disease detection, the carcass must be completely disposed of in the Bekkar pit.
The third device that arrived at the laboratory is a nitrate tester, which is used to check vegetables for harmful substances,” he added.
The equipment was provided to enhance food safety standards.
