The Central Asian countries possess significant but insufficiently explored reserves of rare earth metals and could join efforts for their development and processing. This opinion was expressed by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the seventh consultative meeting of the leaders of the region's countries, as reported by TASS.

According to Tokayev, cooperation in the field of rare earth resources opens new horizons, as the implementation of modern technologies and innovative solutions can significantly accelerate the development of this industry.

He also reminded of Kazakhstan's proposal to create a regional research center in Astana dedicated to rare earth metals. Such a center, in his opinion, could provide investors with relevant information about available deposits and the technologies for their development.
