Tokaev proposed to create a unified tourist space in Central Asia

At the VII Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held in Tashkent, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in the field of tourism. He initiated the creation of a unified tourist space, which could promote a common brand for the region, reports Akorda.

Tokayev noted that Central Asia has significant potential for developing joint tourist routes and popularizing the heritage of the Great Silk Road. He also highlighted the need for closer coordination in tourism policy among the countries.

The President of Kazakhstan expressed the opinion that "the time has come for coordinated efforts and effective interaction in the field of tourism." He supported ideas for creating joint routes and proposed taking concrete steps to promote a unified tourist brand for Central Asia.

As a legal basis for deepening cooperation, Tokayev suggested considering the possibility of signing an Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Tourism.

In addition, he emphasized the importance of preserving the common historical and cultural identity and promoting traditional crafts of the region.
