As part of his working trip to the Jalal-Abad region, Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, participated in the opening ceremony of a drywall manufacturing plant located in the village of Dostuk in the Suzak district.
Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of industrialization as one of the key directions for the country's development, noting that over 100 new enterprises are launched annually in the republic.
“By the end of October 2025, the volume of industrial production is expected to reach 595 billion soms, corresponding to a growth of 9.8%. The share of construction materials in this volume is 8.4%. The industrial sector shows a consistently positive trend, which has a favorable impact on macroeconomic indicators. According to preliminary data, the gross domestic product amounted to 1.4 trillion soms, increasing by 10% compared to the same period in 2024. The active development of the construction sector leads to an increased demand for construction materials, which requires an increase in production volumes to sustain the stable growth of this industry,” he noted.
Kasymaliev added that the opening of the new plant has strategic significance, as the country's dependence on imported gypsum products remains high. In the first nine months of 2025, the volume of imports amounted to 8.5 million square meters.
According to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, the launch of the plant will reduce dependence on imported supplies, providing the construction sector with quality domestic materials and creating additional jobs in the region.
The designed capacity of the new plant is 60,000 tons of gypsum powder and 10 million square meters of drywall per year. The plant has created 80 jobs, and 11.7 million dollars have been invested in its implementation.
