As part of the Days of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan, a working meeting took place where Adylbek Kasymaliev presented the "Dostuk" Order to Russian film director Nikita Mikhalkov. This information was provided by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The award was presented in accordance with the decree of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, who recognized Mikhalkov's long-standing work in the field of cultural exchange and friendship between the two countries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kasymaliev emphasized that events like the Days of Russian Culture contribute to strengthening the historical ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

He also congratulated Nikita Mikhalkov on his 80th birthday, noting his outstanding contribution to the development of both Russian and world cinema. "Your films inspire millions and have become classics," said the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Kasymaliev wished the director health, energy, and new creative successes, emphasizing the importance of his contribution to strengthening cultural ties between the countries.

The "Dostuk" Order ("Friendship") is one of the highest awards of the Kyrgyz Republic and is awarded to those who have made significant contributions to the development of intergovernmental relations and friendship between peoples.
